Dear Friends,

How wonderful to hear from so many of you after my April newsletter. It appears that our love of needlework is what has been saving our peace of mind through this time of confusion and unrest. Your business during the shut-down with the many orders received was humbling and so very much appreciated. Through these 16 years, I have been constantly amazed at how loyal and understanding my customers could be! Thank you for your support of my tiny shop and the friendship and love many of you have shown me. So now the time has come to announce the retirement of The Wooden Needle. The shop afforded me the pleasure of meeting incredible people from all over the world. My "locals" of New England and all of Vermont sustained me through all seasons. The cash of course was important, but most of you know how much I enjoyed the chats. I always loved "catching up!"

Please understand that this "closing" will not be immediate. There is alot of inventory to sell which would have been easier if I was seeing you through summer and fall. I know that many of my U.S. and European visitors will not be coming this year and my Canadian friends cannot cross the border yet to enjoy their Vermont homes. This newsletter is full of information and I will be in touch again until the shop empties. Orders through emails will be the best way to work with you. Please provide the basic info of what you want and your phone number. We can work from there. If you are still planning a trip to Stowe, I can hold anything for you.

*finishing: Absolute deadline August 1 with no promise of completion before Christmas! The finishers are sending out info that they are inundated with work due to the quarantine and the amount of stitching people did and they can make no promises of time to complete.
