Dear Friends,
Another "fall foliage" season has passed and it was a quick one!  It seems as if we went from summer to winter with only 2 weeks of color.  But Mother Nature worked quickly to show us her beautiful finery.  I am always still in awe each morning when I lift the shades and see the mountain change its spectacular glory from the previous day!  How blessed!  (As I write this the ski trails are white!)  Of course with each new day I am excited to see so many of you visit The Wooden Needle.  It's such fun to talk family, travels and of course stitching!  Again I am sincerely humbled by your loyalty to my tiny shop!  Thank you!

For my needlepointers, the Vineyard Silk line has been expanded a bit more in the shop.  I can order individual canvases for you from many designers or you're welcome to bring in a canvas and I'm happy to help you select threads.

As we change our clocks this weekend, it may be darker a bit earlier, but for me it brings a little extra stitching time and hopefully for you as well.  It's not quite time for me to hibernate because I do enjoy planning how I will "feather" my nest for upcoming holidays.  Menus are planned and beautiful decorations made by my Mom, friends and me start to come out of boxes.  The darkness becomes a backdrop for the fondness of "home"- made.  Take time to create.  It lifts the spirit!

**PLEASE remember to call the shop before traveling a distance to check hours for that day!  At times I must close unexpectedly.  Also, if it's poor weather conditions, I'll be home stitching!
